About Tandence

Built from a belief that technology should make things clearer.

I’m Lynn, the founder of Tandence.

For years, I’ve worked where people, services and technology meet—understanding what gets in the way, what genuinely helps and how complicated things can be made easier to navigate.

That experience shaped a simple belief:

Technology should build confidence, not complexity.

Tandence grew from that idea. Not from a desire to sell more software or chase every new tool, but from seeing how much better technology becomes when we begin with people.

My background

Experience shaped around real people and everyday reality.

My experience spans private business, healthcare and public services—different environments connected by the same need: technology has to work for real people in real situations.

That has meant considering more than how something looks: clarity, accessibility, confidence, behaviour, processes, different needs and what happens when a digital idea meets everyday reality.

Alongside that work, I’ve developed and explored digital products, interactive tools, websites, brand systems and new ways of using AI to support rather than replace human thinking.

Tandence brings those strands together.

Working in Tandem

Human insight first.
Intelligent tools in support.

I’m fascinated by what intelligent tools can make possible. But I don’t believe AI should be the starting point.

People bring context, judgement, empathy, lived experience and the ability to ask better questions. Intelligent tools help us explore further, work differently and turn ideas into something tangible much faster.

Used well, the combination is powerful. That is what Working in Tandem means to me.

Clarity and craft

I like making complicated things feel understandable.

There is a thread running through the work I’m drawn to: an unclear service, a business that has outgrown its online presence, a process with too many unnecessary steps or an idea someone knows could be better but cannot quite shape yet.

I enjoy getting underneath those problems, finding the structure inside them and turning that understanding into something useful.

Something clearer.Something calmer.Something people feel able to use.

Craft matters.

I care about language, spacing, movement, accessibility, the way information unfolds, the moment someone understands what to do next and the technology underneath it.

Good digital work should feel considered without making people think about how complicated it was to create. The complexity belongs behind the scenes.

Working in Tandem

Partnership rather than handover.

I don’t want to disappear into a black box, build something mysterious and return with an answer. I want clients to understand the decisions we make together.

The best outcome isn’t simply a finished website, system or digital tool. It is knowing why it works, feeling confident using it and being better equipped for whatever comes next.

That’s the kind of technology I believe in.
